Questions are arising about whether or not a sustainable city is possible in such an extreme environment such as the Middle Eastern Desert. Masdar is a small city that is being built in the UAE near Abu Dhabi. The whole idea behind it is to shift away from fossil fuels by incorporating eco-friendly approaches.
