This blog is for students enrolled in DSID 130 Sustainable Design in the Fall 2011. Enter at least two blogposts per week about sustainability. It can be anything that you read, hear, or see. You can add links, photos, and please write up a one or two sentence description of what makes it such a compelling entry. Build, share, learn. This is what begins to make you an active and life long learner!

Recycled motor oil, in your car.
Valvoline recently introduced their NextGen line of motor oil that is made from 50% recycled oil, and its still 100% recyclable. This re-refined oil requires less energy to manufacture, reduces crude oil demand, and contains less pollutants than normal motor oil. I've been recycling my used motor oil for years and never knew where it went. Its good to see recycled and be used again for what it was manufactured for.
